I have always been bothered by the seals and why they are so early in Revelations and
what they are telling us. I think I figured it out.  I believe that many mysteries will slowly be
revealed as we near the end time.  I’m sure that others have concluded this too, I have
just not read any.

The book of Revelation tells us clearly when the rapture will occur and it appears that we
are taken before much of the bad stuff happens.  This is my own analysis and I thought I
would share it, as it was eye opening to me.  I lean to a second half rapture (mid-trib)
theory, but do not discard it happening at the beginning (pre-trib) of the first. As a matter
of fact, I’m leaning harder than I was a week ago.

Anyway here is my analysis, first with the passage:

The book of Revelation (6:7 to 6:17) says this:

6:7And when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, Come. 6:
8And I saw, and behold, a pale horse: and he that sat upon him, his name was Death; and Hades
followed with him. And there was given unto them authority over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with
sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth. 6:9And when he opened the
fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of them that had been slain for the word of God, and for the
testimony which they held: 6:10and they cried with a great voice, saying, How long, O Master, the holy
and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 6:11And there was
given them to each one a white robe; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little time,
until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, who should be killed even as they were, should have
fulfilled their course. 6:12And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake;
and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood; 6:13and the
stars of the heaven fell unto the earth, as a fig tree casteth her unripe figs when she is shaken of a great
wind. 6:14And the heaven was removed as a scroll when it is rolled up; and every mountain and island
were moved out of their places. 6:15And the kings of the earth, and the princes, and the chief captains,
and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the
rocks of the mountains; 6:16and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from
the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 6:17for the great day of their
wrath is come; and who is able to stand?

Prior to this passage are the letters to the church and the 1st through 3rd seals.  After
this passage are the 144,000 chosen out of every tribe.  The 144,000 are clearly chosen
after the Rapture as they are the ones to evangelize during the tribulation period.  The
church (body of Christ) must already be taken away by then for there to be a need for
them to be chosen. Otherwise, why are they needed if all the Christians are still on earth?
When the Rapture occurs, the Holy Spirit is clearly also taken away and this necessitates
the need to pick the 144,000.  Since I believe the 10 tribes were scattered throughout the
world and they are everywhere, only God could have picked the 144,000 as he knows all
our bloodlines.

The question is; if the rapture is shown before this point and I believe it is, when is it?
The key words are concerning the killing mentioned.  In Revelation 6:9, the term “slain” is
“SHAZO” in original Greek and in Revelation 6:11 the term “killed” is “APOKTEINO” and
they have different meanings in Greek, way different.  “Shazo” means to be “butchered as
in food or in a sacrifice” (Strong’s Concordance) and “Apokteino” means “put to death.”
This difference is key.  “Shazo” has a meaning that is good.  To take the life of an animal
for food or sacrifice is a planned good event and is blessed, it also is a passage on for a
greater good.  The death in such a manner would be blessed by God and meant to
happen.  It would be a PLANNED event, not just a quick killing like other words that could
have been used.  Both meals and sacrifices are always planned events, not
instantaneous.  To put to death in “Apokteino” is just simply to be killed like
instantaneous, random, etc.

In 6:9 it then says after the word “Sphazo” “for the testimony which they held” which
actually was in Greek “dia ho logos” or (after, because of) (the) (saying the word,
doctrine).  This has a slightly different meaning than “testimony which they held.”  It
means that they were saying the doctrine or “word.”  Or in short, they were professing
Christians!

Then, the proper translation of 6:9 is: (the souls of) (those who died for a planned good
purpose) (after) (the) (saying of doctrine).  Even though some think the rapture means
that our bodies disappear, there is no biblical support for this. It may be that our soul is
removed from our bodies and changed into a heavenly body.  It clearly will make the
explanation on earth easier for those who are left.  They will just point to a disease or
sickness.  Otherwise, even a dope would figure out a rapture happened if we disappeared
and the Bible tells us that the
Antichrist continues to rule and the world moves on during
the tribulation.  It’s easier to explain millions dead then millions disappeared.  I have never
bought into the UFO theory, I think that is just foolishness.  When we go in the Rapture,
our bodies may just drop where they are, which is a death of the body and passage on
with the Lord. So we could say: “these were the souls of those that were Christian and
died in a pre-planned event (rapture).”

The passage goes on to say that they are to be given “a white robe” which signifies to me
that they had just arrived recently.  Had they been there for awhile, they would have
already been clothed in a heavenly garment.  The giving of the “white robe” was clearly a
signal to us that this large group had just arrived under the altar.  That they should “rest
yet for a little time” is merely to let them know that the second group (the ones from the
tribulation time after the Rapture) will come and join them in a while.  These are the ones
that are “killed” (Apokteino: put to death, killed) during the tribulation period.
So this is what we can learn from this.  We are raptured somewhere before Revelation 6:
9.  What has occurred before 6:9?  This actually is very early in Revelation, most things
come well after this point.

Before Rev 6:9 are the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th seals.  The 1st seal is the white horse and
he had a “bow” and “came forth conquering and to conquer.” Most believe this is the
“Antichrist” and therefore it means he has shown up before the rapture. I think the “elect”
will not be deceived and will know who he is.  However, will he totally come out clearly as
the Antichrist, I don’t know, but I don’t think so.  I think only the evangelical Christians will
strongly suspect who it is, but it may not be clear to the rest of the world as they are not
looking for him.  I believe the Bible tells us this, that since the rest of the world isn’t
watching, only the bride of Christ will be ready-hopefully.

The second seal is the “red horse” and this one takes peace from the earth, therefore war
is starting in many places.  If the white horse is the antichrist, who is the red horse? In the
passage it used the term “it was given to take peace from the earth, and that they should
slay one another. “ In the original Greek it is: “Lambano ho eirene ek ho ge kai hina
allelon sphazo.”  There’s that “sphazo” again.  “eirene” “means “peace” (Strong’s).  ”ek ho
ge” means “out of the land” and “ allelon” means “one another, together” and of course
“spazo” which means “butchered as in food or in a sacrifice.” Again a preplanned good
event.  The “they” was put in with the “sphazo” and that is not a good interpretation. The
“they” was not inferred anywhere before or after.  The tense before was “he” not “they” as
in “it was given” which in the original Greek was “didomi (was given) autos (to him).”

Therefore is literally means that (was given) (to him) (peace) (was taken out of the land)
and (together) (died from a good cause like for food or sacrifice).  I think this is exactly
where the rapture happens.  The “red horse” is the Holy Spirit and it is the Holy Spirit that
is being removed along with the bride of Christ.   If the white horse is the fake Messiah,
i.e. The “Antichrist,” then who is the Red Horse?  It is the Holy Spirit leaving the earth and
going with the rapture, which in effect “takes peace from the earth.”  2 Thessalonians 2:
7and 8 says:  “
For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who
now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8And then the
lawless one will be revealed.
”  The one who holds it back is clearly the Holy Spirit on earth
with Christians.  Therefore the Holy Spirit is removed with us.

Thus the Rapture occurs between the “Antichrist” coming to power (1st seal) and before
the 3rd and 4th seals.

The third seal is the “black horse,” this is the one with the balance and it represents a
financial change to the world.  That’s why it talks of the cost of wheat, barley, etc.  There
was simply no word for “world economy” back then, so they used this method to mean
economy.

The fourth seal is a “pale horse” and “he that sat upon him, his name was Death; and
Hades followed with him. And there was given unto them authority over the fourth part of
the earth, to kill with sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the
earth.” This has been a very misunderstood passage.  It simply means that a fourth of the
population will die from war, famine, just plain death and animals.  It’s the plain death that
people miss.  This is death from many causes.

We are already gone when these two seals happen!

By the 5th seal we are already under the altar as I discussed above.

In conclusion, I think the Lord let us know that as he said, he will shorten the tribulation for
his elect and the scripture clearly shows that.  It is real early when we leave and then we
must wait for the “rest” or those that become Christian during the tribulation.

God Bless
