Can we speculate on who is the Antichrist,
what are the signs of the end time and
when is the last generation?

YES!

"And for those of the people who understand shall instruct many;"
Daniel 11:33

There is no forbidden knowledge that cannot be talked about concerning the end time, only
information we do not have or will not have. The Bible does not forbid us in speculating for
“watching” purposes on many end time issues. Some of my email's cite the reference in the
Bible to “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,
but only the Father.” (Matthew 24:35-37) as we cannot know the end time or the Antichrist.
This is a false reading of the Bible and pertains to the coming of our Lord.  Also, that
passage may even be a reference to the Feast of Trumpets, but certainly not watching for
the signs and certainly not on the identity of the Antichrist. Matthew 24, Revelation, Daniel,
etc gives us numerous signs to watch out for. "Therefore keep watch, because you do not
know on what day your Lord will come.” (Matthew 24:41-43)

Why would we be given signs if we were not supposed to study and speculate in order to
inform and warn?

The return of our Lord is certainly a different issue than who is the Antichrist and when are
we in the last days. There is no Bible edict against knowing these things and certainly a lot
of references to prophecy and watching for prophecy.  Even a reference to “For false Christ’
s and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the
elect—if that were possible (Matthew 24:23-25).” shows that many Christians will have their
head in the sand during these last days.
